Projects Calendar

Organisations can choose to view a calendar of all activity taking place within their organisation. This can also be shared externally to make potential participants aware of upcoming sessions that may be of interest.

To view this, go to Projects at the top of the screen and then Projects Calendar.

There are various filters available on the page for users to choose what they would like to view.

First off they can choose whether the calendar is displayed for only today, a day, week or month (as displayed above).

Then on the right-hand side filters can be applied to look at the calendar for sessions taking place in relation to different Projects, Activities, Activity Groups, Activity Types, Locations, Register statuses, Session Registrars and Tags (if used).

Lower down on the right-hand side under Tools will be external links that can be used to share this calendar more widely. Dependent on the filters above chosen, this will impact the URL of the calendar link. As more sessions are added to your projects, the link will stay the same and update automatically.

This can enable potential participants to know about upcoming sessions taking place. The view of the calendar will be external from Upshot.

If a user clicks on a particular session the below is what they will see, plus any additional Session Information that has been added. Adding additional session information is explained below.

The Directions will bring up the location of the session in Google Maps.

Adding Session Information

When creating or editing existing sessions users can also choose to Add Session Information. This can be used to provide additional details for your attendees/session leaders on things such as logistics or directions, this can then be seen by potential participants if the calendar is shared externally.

Users can also produce the calendar from within a specific project. Please refer to the Session Calendar for more information.
