Cascading Surveys (for Facilitating Organisations)
Facilitating Organisations can now cascade (share) created surveys with Delivery Organisations connected to their account.
This allows
Facilitating Organisations to ensure consistency in the surveys used by their
Delivery Organisations.
Delivery Organisations interact with the survey as normal and choose which participant profiles to send/attach the survey to and organise into relevant folders/deployments. For more information on
Sending and Completing Surveys please click
here.
Crucially, if the survey is made using
Standardised Questions, the Facilitating Organisation will be able to directly report on the responses to Standardised Questions collected by Delivery Organisations. For more information on
Standardised Questions please click
here.
This can save admin time collecting and collating Delivery Organisations' survey responses, and in addition benefit from the enhanced reporting mentioned above.
Note that the Facilitating Organisation will not be able to report on any non-standardised questions used.
Once a survey has been created, this can be shared with delivery organisations by clicking
Share with delivery organisations under
Tools.
Here users can choose which organisations to share this survey with and view any organisations who this has already been shared with and organisations that have already used it.
Note: Facilitating Organisations that have access to Delivery Organisation participants can send out the survey directly to these participants themselves using the existing Send function.
Key Terms
Cascading Surveys:
Surveys can be cascaded from Facilitating Organisations into relevant Delivery Organisations underneath. If the survey contains Standardised Questions these responses can also be reported on by the Facilitating Organisation.
Deployment (Folder of survey responses):
This is a folder of attendees’ survey responses. This is where you can group together certain responses to the same survey, for example for an Evaluation survey those responses related to a specific group or activity. Also, the system can run a comparison of different deployments of the same survey. For instance, in surveys to do with Mental Health and Wellbeing it is often important to see individual responses change over time. Different deployments would allow you to measure and then compare this. I.e. Baseline results compared to Follow Up.
Facilitating Organisation:
In Upshot there are two platforms - one for facilitating organisations, often used by funders, and another for delivery organisation accounts, where the attendee and session information is inputted. Facilitating Organisations accounts can be thought of as an over-arching account linked to a number Delivery Organisation accounts. If applicable, information feeds through from the Delivery Organisation level to the higher Facilitating Organisation level for reporting purposes. However, this is not a necessity and delivery organisation accounts are not always linked to a facilitating organisation account.
