Media Troubleshooting

If a user experiences trouble uploading media to the system, it is usually related to one of the following three things:

  • File type - the file they are looking to upload is not on the list of permissible file types.
  • File size - file(s) of up to 500MB can be uploaded in one go, this could be several photos or one video. Issues of this nature may be solved by uploading a smaller amount of files and then repeating the process to upload the remaining. If individual files are larger than this, such as a long video recording, users may find it helpful to simply upload elsewhere and add a 'web link' as a piece of media to Upshot rather than the file itself.
  • Connectivity - Upshot is an online system, if users look to upload files and experience a drop in internet connectivity then the file may not upload.
