Deployment Types (for Facilitating Organisations)
Facilitating Organisations (FO) can now optionally set deployment types for any Standard or Anonymous surveys they create.
This feature ensures that when FO cascade surveys to connected accounts, Delivery Organisation (DO) users must link any survey deployments they create to any of the pre-defined deployment types.
This means that even if the DO has left the actual deployment name blank or provided a name whose identity is unclear the Facilitating Organisation can be sure what type of deployment it is.
This ensures consistency for the FO reporting, with the deployment type being presented within the download of Standardised Question export .
In addition to the above, deployment types can be used by the FO to compare survey responses. This will allow them to compare all responses linked to two deployment types, assuming the survey has been set up in a way that allows for the comparison . This comparison piece then gives the FO a way of demonstrating the impact across a piece of delivery, as well as being able to apply different filters when comparing to understand where the most impact has been made.
Example Scenario
A FO would like all their delivery organisations taking part in their ‘Health and Wellbeing’ programme to conduct a short mental wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of the programme.
When the survey is being created at the FO the FO sets ‘Deployment Types’ of ‘Beginning of Programme’ and ‘End of Programme’.

The survey is then cascaded down to the DO.
When the DO creates their deployment they have to link their deployment to the deployment types set by the FO.

In the above example we can see that whilst this DO has chosen to name the deployment ‘Initial’ it will be linked back to the deployment type of ‘Beginning of Programme’ to ensure consistency for the FO reporting.
Note: An attendee at a DO can only be added to a deployment type once within a survey. I.e. if a DO creates multiple deployments that are linked to the same deployment type of ‘Beginning of Programme’, the attendee ‘Joe Bloggs’ could only be added to one of these individual deployments.
Comparing Deployment Types
A FO can run a survey comparison for two deployment types. The results shown will feature:
- All those who have completed the cascaded survey at the DO regardless of attendance.
- The ability to filter to look at the comparison based on those who have:
- Completed the survey from a particular DO
- Attended a certain amount of sessions
- Have particular demographics (i.e. Gender, Age etc.)
